HATING the new Gmail interface

WTF thought it would be a Good idea to make it nearly impossible to distinguish read from unread mail, or to even see any unclicked stars and symbols? This is the worst email interface I've seen in decades!

... I think something's wrong with your interface. I can absolutely distinguish read from unread mail, and I can also see unclicked stars and symbols!

I'm on Firefox 8.0 on Win7 and just lost the ability to use the legacy GMail interface - forced into the new one. I can just barely make out unclicked stars and symbols if I look close. Read and unread mail are nowhere near as easy to see as the old interface due to the lack of visible lines between items - everything just wants to blur together. AWFUL!

Why did Google decide to break something that was working fine!

There's an option for how compact you want the display to be. And... does the lightness of ±read get affected by the style?

Oh good, I got my Revert to Old Look option back again. At least for a while. All that blinding white was so hard on the eyes!
